Who Are We?

The Coalition for Compassionate Care of California is a statewide partnership of more than 95 regional and statewide organizations dedicated to the advancement of palliative medicine and end-of-life care in California.

Staff

Judy Citko, J.D.
Executive Director

Judy has nearly 20 years of experience in healthcare. Before joining the Coalition for Compassionate Care of California, she worked as a lobbyist, lawyer, and computer programmer for hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, and managed care providers.
Ellen Hickey

Before joining the Coalition for Compassionate Care of California, Ellen was Community Liaison for Hospice of Amador and Calaveras. She previously served as Director of Research and Communications for an international non-profit working to promote sustainable agriculture.
Erin Henke

Erin brings 13 years of experience in healthcare marketing and education. Prior to joining the Coalition for Compassionate Care of California, Erin was Director of Communications & Community Relations with Hospice By The Bay in the San Francisco area and Co-Chaired the San Francisco Bay Area Network for End-of-Life Care. Erin has also worked with the American Medical Association.
Christina Johnson
Program Manager

Christina brings over 12 years experience in communications and public relations to the Coalition for Compassionate Care of California. Prior to joining CCCC, she was Program Specialist for the California Telemedicine and eHealth Center. She previously served as Public Information Specialist for the Association of Regional Center Agencies and Media Director for the California State Fair.
Suzanne Richards
Administrative Assistant

Suzanne has over 10 years of administrative work in children’s mental health and civil engineering. Before joining the Coalition for Compassionate Care of California, she worked as a Trainer and Business Services Coordinator at FamiliesFirst, Inc. in Sacramento.
